Media spokesperson training courses: One Day
Workshop format:
This is an interactive one-day workshop during which participants first learn how to develop a visionary view of the markets in which they operate, test the scope of their current knowledge and identify the gaps that need to be filled in order to become sought-after media spokespeople.
They are then provided with guidelines as to how to:
- Build a knowledge framework
- Identify with the interest and requirements of the audience
- Prepare for the interview
- Get into discussion mode instead of talking at the interviewer
- Draw on existing knowledge reserves when responding to questions
- Communicate succinctly with the interviewer
- Keep on track when responding to questions
- Be tuned in to the interest signals given out by the interviewer
- Package and deliver valuable information
- Accumulate interesting examples to support viewpoints
- Handle curved balls
- Exploit opportunities to impart company messages
- Present the right body language
- Identify topics for possible interviews and press releases
Workshop interview sessions:
During the workshop, each delegate is interviewed on a selected topic on which they have previously been briefed.
The rest of the group then provide feedback on the interviewee’s performance, based on the guidelines provided earlier.
Course Cost
The cost of the workshop is R2,500 per delegate (ex VAT). Group workshops can be arranged for specific companies.
One-on-one coaching sessions can be arranged.
